Any self-drive rental's headline day rate is only one part of the real cost. Here's how to calculate what you'll actually pay, with our own Maruti Swift rate as the worked example — see the full rate table on the pricing page.
Start with the GST-inclusive number
Our Swift is ₹1,200/day before GST, ₹1,260/day after. If a competitor quotes ₹1,100/day with GST added separately, run the same math before comparing — the headline number alone is misleading.
Add your real fuel cost
Fuel isn't included in the day rate anywhere in this category, ours included — you pay for what you use. Budget it into the total: our estimated fuel cost for a Bengaluru-to-Coorg round trip in the Swift is ₹1,450, shown per car on each car's page.
Do the full-trip math before you pay
A 3-day Swift booking works out to ₹1,200 × 3 = ₹3,600, plus 5% GST = ₹3,780, plus an estimated ₹1,450 in fuel for a Coorg trip — ₹5,230 total, before the refundable ₹8,000 deposit. That's the number to compare against any other quote, not the day rate alone.
