Station pickup — KSR · SMVB · Yesvantpur · Cantonment
Self Drive Car Rental at Bangalore Railway Stations
Self drive car rental for arrivals in Bangalore (Bengaluru) — we meet you at the exit with the car ready.
Four stations, one pickup fee: we meet you right at the station exit for a flat ₹650 — the same at 2am as at 2pm, with no surge pricing at any hour. Coordination runs over WhatsApp before your train arrives: documents first, then the exact exit your train routes you to. The table below measures each station to Indiranagar, the nearest of our six zones to all four stops.
| Station | Distance to Indiranagar | Drive time |
|---|---|---|
| KSR Bengaluru City Junction (SBC) | 6 km | 25 min |
| Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVB) | 7 km | 25 min |
| Yesvantpur Junction (YPR) | 11 km | 35 min |
| Bengaluru Cantonment (BNC) | 5 km | 20 min |

How station pickup works
The same handover as our airport pickup, minus the terminals: WhatsApp first, exit second, flat fee throughout.
Before your train arrives
Documents go over WhatsApp before your slot is confirmed — a driving licence photo, one government ID — and that same thread is where we settle which exit you'll come out of. That matters more than it sounds: KSR alone surfaces passengers at several different points depending on the platform, and nobody should be standing on a forecourt phone-calling a stranger to find a car.
Send your train number when you book. It tells us more about where and when you'll actually arrive than any platform guess will.
At the exit
We meet you just outside the station exit — not on a platform, not inside the concourse, not at a counter. You walk out with your luggage, we're the person your WhatsApp thread already describes, and the handover takes the same under-five-minutes it does anywhere else: licence and ID checked, live selfie match, deposit over UPI or card, confirmation timestamped on the thread.
The fee, at any hour
Arrival hour makes no difference: one flat ₹650 whether your train pulls in at 2am or 2pm. It's also one number across all four stops — KSR, SMVB, Yesvantpur and Cantonment are priced identically, so which station your ticket says doesn't move the bill.
KSR Bengaluru City Junction (SBC)
KSR Bengaluru City Junction — the one Bengaluru still calls City Junction, at Majestic — is the primary hub of the four: 10 platforms, and the terminus most long-distance trains into the city arrive at. If your train came from Chennai, Mumbai or Hyderabad, odds are this is where you get off.
It's also the busiest pickup of the four by a distance. The forecourt fills fast between arrival hours, and the Majestic metro interchange underneath — where the Purple and Green lines cross — means the surface exit you emerge from depends on where you came down from, not on where it would be convenient to stand.
Which is exactly why the exit gets agreed on WhatsApp rather than published: at KSR, a fixed meeting point written into a page like this one would be a guess. Your train number plus that thread settles the specific exit before you travel.
Indiranagar, the nearest zone we serve, is 6 km and about 25 minutes from here. Electronic City from KSR is a cross-city haul — if that's where you're staying, weigh it before you book rather than discovering it in traffic.
Meeting point at Majestic
We meet you just outside the Majestic exit — the forecourt side taxis and app cabs use — with the exact spot confirmed on your WhatsApp thread as your train nears the city. The ₹650 fee, the under-five-minute verification and the timestamped handover are identical here to every other station on this page; what changes is only which door you walk out of.
Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVB)
Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal at Baiyappanahalli is the modern one — a purpose-built terminal rather than an older station adapted around current traffic, which shows in the forecourt: wide, legible, and far easier to name a meeting point in than KSR's.
It sits on the east side of the city, which is the part that matters to your drive. Indiranagar, the nearest zone we serve, is 7 km and about 25 minutes away — and Whitefield and Marathahalli are on the same side of the city, so an arrival here doesn't fight central Bengaluru's traffic before your trip has even started.
Pickup itself is unchanged: station exit, WhatsApp-confirmed spot, live selfie match, flat ₹650.
Yesvantpur Junction (YPR)
Yesvantpur Junction serves northwestern Bengaluru — the one corner of the city none of our six zones sit in, which makes this the station where the drive to your zone is a genuine part of the plan rather than a formality.
Indiranagar is still the nearest zone we serve: 11 km, about 35 minutes, typically around the Hebbal side of the Outer Ring Road, and that number stretches in the evening peak. Nothing closer to Yesvantpur falls inside our service area, so plan the full half-hour instead of rounding it down.
Yesvantpur handles a heavy share of the city's northbound long-distance departures, so evening arrivals cluster here — your train number on the WhatsApp thread is more useful to us than any time estimate you could give.
Bengaluru Cantonment (BNC)
Bengaluru Cantonment is the smallest of the four — a regional stop near Ulsoor, quieter than KSR by every measure, and with the shortest walk from platform to exit of any station on this page.
It's also the closest to a zone we serve: Indiranagar is 5 km and about 20 minutes from the Cantonment exit, the shortest station-to-zone run here. If your train calls at Cantonment, you're trading KSR's crowd for a quiet forecourt and twenty minutes instead of twenty-five.
Fewer trains call here than at KSR, which cuts both ways — arrivals spread thin through the day, so the pickup tends to be the calmest of the four.
What the station pickup costs
Station pickup — itemised
- Base day rate (Maruti Swift)₹1,200
- Station pickup fee (flat)₹650
- Security deposit (back in 3 days)₹8,000
₹650 is one flat figure collected with the rest at pickup — identical for KSR at 2pm and Cantonment at 2am, with no per-station pricing anywhere in it. The ₹8,000 deposit follows the standard 3-business-day refund, and the ₹1,200 above is only the Swift's rate: every other car's day rate and deposit live on its page.
Cars that suit a station arrival
A train arrival is a luggage problem before it's a comfort problem — these three cover the range.

Small enough to manoeuvre out of KSR's crowded forecourt, and the cheapest day rate in the fleet at ₹1,200/day — the pick if the car's real job is just moving you and your bags across the city

For arrivals that end at a meeting — the sedan clients expect, with a 3-bag boot that covers train luggage for one or two people without stepping up to an SUV's day rate

For a family arriving together — the third row drops away on demand, turning seven seats into the kind of luggage room a long-haul train trip actually generates on the drive across town
Questions about Bangalore Railway Stations
What happens if my train is delayed?+
Message the WhatsApp number your booking was confirmed on with the new arrival time — the station meeting shifts to match, the same way an airport pickup follows a delayed flight. The ₹650 doesn't care how late the train is: one flat figure, whether you arrive twenty minutes behind schedule or three hours.
Can I book at the last minute from the station?+
You can start from the platform: send your driving licence photo and a government ID over WhatsApp, because a slot is only confirmed once those are verified — the same step whether you booked a week ago or while the train is still moving. How fast we can reach the exit depends on the station and your zone, so send your train number and we'll work back from its live status rather than guessing.
Is the meeting point the same at all four stations?+
The protocol is identical everywhere — we meet you just outside the station exit, agreed on WhatsApp before you travel — but the exact exit isn't a fixed published gate number, because it differs by station and even by which platform you arrive on. KSR's Majestic interchange alone surfaces passengers at several points, which is why the specific exit lands on your thread before you set off.
