What Happens If You Get a Traffic Challan During Your Rental

A traffic challan during a rental is one of the more common renter worries, usually because other rental companies use it as a quiet revenue line — a marked-up 'processing fee' on top of the actual fine. We don't do that. If a challan comes through for a violation during your rental period, we forward it to you at the exact amount on the notice.

It's the one line on our entire damage and fees schedule that's explicitly zero markup, by design — a challan is a fine you owe the traffic authority, not us, and charging extra on top of it would be exactly the kind of hidden fee our whole pricing model is built to avoid. Pay it directly through the standard traffic portal once we forward it; we don't collect it ourselves.
